Welcome to Lake Neccudah

Welcome to Lake Neccudah… Where the Mountains meet the Plains.

Quality of Life:

As you’ll soon discover, the Town of Lake Neccudah offers a unique setting for the contemporary Colorado lifestyle. With our emphasis on the quality of life, we strive to provide an atmosphere that reflects our respect for individuals, families and our community at large.

Riverbend Campground

Our majestic mountain views serve as a backdrop to our many parks and recreational activities.  Our civic vision has created a healthy balance between a business friendly climate and environmentally sound programs that protect our natural resources.

Sewage Treatment Plant

Our new sewage treatment plant can now handle all of the community’s effluent.  And the radioactive spill on old Highway 56 has been cleaned up, thanks to a grant from the federal government’s Super Fund.

We provide a blend of small-town togetherness with the access to the big city’s amenities.  Not surprisingly growing families, young professionals, and active adults are drawn to our many outdoor opportunities.

Mountainview Junior College

Our junior college, currently housed in the old Lake Neccudah Rail Road building,  offers an opportunity for those who are academically challenged.   Some of our junior college students have actually gone on to the university level of education such as UC-Boulder.  Our primary schools often rank  favorably with surrounding communities.  Our agricultural base has drawn a growing number of bio-tech companies and engineering firms specializing in gene splicing and cloning.

Special Events:

The Town of Lake Neccudah believes that special events keep our community vibrant and smiling throughout the year so you’ll have your pick of festivals and unique activities;  Each year in May we celebrate our annual Buffalo Chip Hurling Contest. In June hundreds bring their furry rabbit friends to join in the fun at the Bunny Hop at Lake Neccudah Park.

Founder's Day

During the last week in July we celebrate Founder’s Week culminating in a circus-like festival in Fairgrounds Park.  In October we combine all autumn  events with our annual Harvest Days to give thanks for our blessings.  And, of course, at Christmas we celebrate with our annual Cantata at Hope Church followed by caroling down Main Street.
